Nebbia’s practice includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and photography. Her work evolves through process and explores relationships and how we occupy space, considering different perspectives, referencing culture, history, nature, design in varying scales.
The work on display was started first by making multiple ceramic pieces in the studio. From these pieces further drawings and paintings were created with photography to create compositions which investigated the simple formal relationships between the ceramic works. These ceramic pieces were made in porcelain and vulcan clay from which developed these etchings. These then fine tuned, informed the final pieces from which the etchings were made.
Through the process of making and the use of materials something occurs that distils the initial starting point.
