Sadie Tierney is a printmaker and painter working from Binnel Studios on the south coast of the Isle of Wight. She studied Fine Art at Newcastle University before completing an MA in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art. Her distinctive prints and paintings investigate the shifting character of landscape, translating direct observation into layered compositions that balance structure, atmosphere and abstraction.
A former Printfest Printmaker of the Year, Tierney has exhibited at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair since its inaugural edition and was awarded the Boodle Hatfield Printmaking Prize in 2020. In 2026, she was elected an Associate Member of the Royal Watercolour Society.
Previous solo exhibitions include Flowers East and Rabley Gallery. Tierneys work is held in public and private collections in the UK and internationally, including the Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York; the National Museum in Gdańsk, Poland; Imperial Health Charity, London; East Anglia's Children's Hospices; Cunard; the Royal West of England Academy; Pallant House Gallery; Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery; Swindon Museum and Art Gallery; the Clifford Chance Collection; Eton College; the Royal College of Art; and the Royal Navy.
