Nicholas Dowgwillo (USA, born 1981) is a Detroit based artist who makes images, objects, and earthworks that uncover the psychological, poetic, and cultural dimensions of plants and environments. He is the founder of Temple of Print, a cooperative printmaking studio in Detroit, and serves as the 2D Media Studio Coordinator at the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. Dowgwillo holds an MFA in Printmaking from Arizona State University. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including C.Y.N.K. Studios, Dye House, Hong Kong Open Printshop, Tama Art University Museum, and the Biennale internationale d’estampe contemporaine de Trois-Rivières. His prints are included in public collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Zuckerman Museum of Art, and he regularly presents at conferences on printmaking, land art, and interdisciplinary practice.
