Marcia Teusink is an American-born, London-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice spans painting, print, video, and mixed-media installation. Her work explores historic human interventions in nature and their lasting ecological consequences. Teusink’s research-based creative practice draws on archives, maps, books, botanical gardens, urban sites, and long woodland walks. She has recently been awarded a Women in Print, funded residency at ArtLab Contemporary Print Studios (U. of Lancashire) as well as an AA2A residency at Cambridge School of Art. In 2025 she co-curated Messages from a Silent River at Hypha Studios and was elected to The London Group. She’s had recent solo exhibitions include Rome Botanical Gardens (Italy) and a large-scale commissioned installation at Od Arts Festival (Somerset). The artist holds an BA (Phi Beta Kappa) in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley, an MFA from the City University of New York at Queens College, and an MA in Museum Education from the Institute of Education, UCL. Her studio is in Stoke Newington.
