Liv Ye is a London-based illustrator and artist whose work explores quiet emotions, human connection, memory and the healing presence of nature. Through drawing, print-based processes and visual storytelling, she is interested in capturing subtle emotional states and the tender relationships between people, places and everyday life.
Her practice often begins with small observations: a plant, a gesture, a moment of stillness, or a feeling that is difficult to express in words. Working across hand drawing, digital drawing, collage and works on paper, Ye creates poetic and accessible visual narratives that invite reflection, emotional resonance and a sense of closeness.
Ye’s recent series Bond considers the invisible tensions between connection and distance. Through layered compositions and subtle surface interventions such as embossing and debossing, the works hold a tactile quality that echoes the emotional pressure and delicate traces left within relationships. These tactile traces invite a quiet reflection on the fragility and tension held within invisible bonds.
