Ilona Pimbert
£0.00
Ilona is a painter and printmaker living and working in London. She creates landscapes that emerge from observation, memory, and imagination, inviting viewers into abstract worlds rich with texture, colour, and light. She is continually drawn to trees, water, the sea, rain, sky, wind, sun, stars, and the human body - forms that speak to the elemental forces of nature and the wider universe. Thinking in light, colour, movement, and energy, she explores landscape as both a physical place and an emotional experience. Her paintings and prints celebrate nature in a non-linear, cyclical way, reflecting its rhythms of change, renewal, and interconnectedness while encouraging quiet contemplation and a deeper connection with the natural world.
Ilona studied at Chelsea and St Martins School of Art, where she was awarded a QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) Scholarship to support her experiments in animation. She has since established a dedicated painting and printmaking practice, working regularly at Artichoke Print Workshop in Brixton.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at Blueshop Galleries (2025), the Awagami International Print Exhibition, Japan (2025), Lido Stores (2026), and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2026). Her work is held in public and private collections.
