Graeme Reed
£0.00
Graeme Reed's work is essentially about the things we rely on, and what happens when they begin to fall apart.
Using printmaking processes including screenprinting, photopolymer and collagraphy, he creates richly layered images that sit somewhere between reality and imagination. The unpredictability of these processes plays an important role in the work, with accidents, imperfections and unexpected outcomes often becoming part of the finished image.
His recent series of prints, The Future Screams Back, shown here for the first time, explores a growing sense of uncertainty in the world around us. Whether it is political systems, social structures, personal beliefs or the physical environment, many of the things we once assumed were permanent now seem far less secure. The work reflects on that fragility while leaving space for viewers to find their own meanings and connections within the images.
Having graduated from Chelsea School of Art with an MA in Fine Art Printmaking, Reed has exhibited widely, including at RE's International Original Print Exhibition, Ironbridge Fine Arts, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair (Director's Cut), RBSA Gallery and the RWA 172 Annual Open Exhibition.
