Ewa Schreiber is a painter and printmaker based in Paris. Her works explore the tension between navigating the ordered modern world while longing for wilderness and a deeper connection with nature — a place where human beings are both lost and comforted.
Working from en plein air sketches and personal photographs, Ewa transforms her travels into atmospheric oil paintings and multicolour reduction relief linoprints. While her paintings explore the impact of light and colour through atmospheric vistas, her linoprints focus on texture and pattern created through a long process of superimposition of layers of semi-transparent ink. Painting and printmaking are complementary expressions of the same artistic vision shaped by the Preraphaelite and German Romantic traditions here landscapes become spaces of myth, memory, and contemplation.
Her work has been exhibited in Paris and London, including at the Grand Palais with the Salon des Artistes Français (2026) and the Bankside Gallery during the International Original Print Exhibition (2024, 2025). Her oil painting practice was recognised through a 2025 pre-selection by the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and her work was featured in a two-page interview in Artists & Illustrators magazine (April 2024).
