Emma Bond is a printmaker and illustrator whose practice explores close observation of the natural world through experimental Tetrapak printmaking. Her work sits between printmaking and painting, creating layered images that combine intricate detail with an otherworldly sense of atmosphere.
Using a combination of relief, intaglio and monoprint techniques, Emma treats each printed element as its own small painting, building compositions through repeated layering. Working with repurposed Tetrapak allows her to explore the material's unique surface qualities while transforming an everyday waste material into richly textured, embossed prints. Inspired by gardens, rock pools and natural ecosystems, her work reflects an ongoing fascination with surface, pattern and the quiet complexity of overlooked landscapes.
Emma graduated in Ceramics from Falmouth College of Arts before moving into illustration and printmaking. Alongside developing her own practice, she has worked as a printmaking demonstrator and educator, continuing to refine and share her process-led approach to making.
She is currently focused on expanding the possibilities of Tetrapak printmaking through continued experimentation with scale, layering and material.
