Bridier Sandrine
Sandrine Bridier explores screen printing as an expanded field of experimentation where drawing, textile, and material research converge. Rooted in her Infinite Drawing series, initiated in 2020, her work transforms a continuous flow of lines into matrices that unfold through screen printing on paper and organza. Through layering, repetition, and displacement, images extend beyond the printed surface to engage with space .
Transparency is central to her practice. Superimposed printed veils create shifting visual depths activated by light, revealing transitions between presence and disappearance. The dialogue between paper and textile, opacity and translucency, transforms the graphic gesture into a spatial experience. By approaching printmaking as a living process rather than a fixed image, Bridier investigates memory, transformation, and the balance between permanence and impermanence.
Alongside her artistic practice, she is committed to the transmission of contemporary printmaking through teaching, residencies, and the founding of L'Atelier des 4 Jeudis in Paris. Her work has been exhibited in France and across Europe, including an artist residency in Skopje, Global Print Portugal, the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, and exhibitions dedicated to contemporary printmaking. Educated at ESAG–Penninghen and the University of Paris 1, she continues her research through screen printing and natural ink making.
