Working as an artist / printmaker following his career as a full time lecturer in Graphics, Typography and Print. Exhibiting widely
and also selling works, primarily, etching, drypoint, screenprint, relief,
monotypes and collagraphs. He lives in the Dales, and near to the South Lakes, which enables him to source landscape location, waysides and natural places ‘first-hand’. Drawing in-situ to transfer and translate primarily on to plate for ‘drypoint’ proofing. This has been his preferred
technique and process, which he supplements with drawings,
painting and photography. This also serves to provide accurate colour
sources and the appropriate characteristics required to represent
an impression and the essence of each print.
He has recently exhibited in the South Of France, specifically garden and botanical subject matter. This is also influencing current development of new prints and oil pastel studies, in series.
