Beth Shapeero (b. 1985, Nottingham) is a painter and printmaker based in Glasgow, Scotland. Her practice explores sensation, memory, and the body through abstraction. She works across painting and printmaking, often combining the two to produce works that emphasise process, materiality, and scale.
Shapeero is one half of the collaborative duo Two-Step, alongside artist Fraser Taylor. Together, they challenge the boundaries of printmaking through large-scale, dynamic installations. She is also co-director of the artist-led gallery ShapeeroMurray, working to support artists in a fragile arts economy.
In 2026, Shapeero presents a solo exhibition at The Vanner Gallery (Salisbury), and is the installation artist at the Affordable Art Fair Vienna, as well as an invited artist at Art Fair Daegu, (South Korea). She will be feature artist at Glasgow Print Studio, alongside taking part in group exhibitions at Sister Contemporary (Kent) and the Royal Scottish Academy (Edinburgh) as Two-Step.In 2027, Two-Step will present a major solo exhibition at Edinburgh Printmakers, developed through an ongoing residency.
Recent solo exhibitions include Scribbling/Scrabbling (Two-Step, Platform, Glasgow, 2024), Playing Up (Two-Step, Glasgow Print Studio, 2023), To Stand in the Full Sun (16 Nicholson Street Gallery, Glasgow, 2022), and Turned the Wrong Way (Studio Pavilion, Glasgow, 2022).
