Annabel Maciver
Annabel MacIver is a multidisciplinary artist working in print, drawing, painting and sculpture. Her work often questions the status quo, using experimentation across mediums, with the exploration of materiality, mark-making and form to drive her decision-making. She positions her work within two strands, one more immediate, societal, and the other takes up conversations with embedded narratives, found objects or artists from the past. Time often features (whether included as part of the process or referencing it in some way), as does the written word (e.g. poetry, discussions with AI or investigations around word order).
MacIver recently (2025) gained an MA in Print from the Royal College of Art, and she is also a freelance teacher for print, drawing and painting, which informs her practice. She has exhibited in many group exhibitions, most recently the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026, and held her first solo exhibition, Bird, in 2021: a lament around sudden death, imprisonment, grief and legacy. Annabel is an award winner as part of the recent JaguarXRCA prize and was selected to be part of the Postgraduate Printmaking in London 2025, exhibition.
