Szewska is fascinated by the interplay of the man-made and the natural. Whether within a landscape or urban context, their proximity and relationship tell the story of how humans and nature have an ever changing and evolving dependence upon each other.
Through a variety of printmaking processes, Szewska’s work explores how light, shadow and movement enhance and change the world around us and shape our relationships with the world.
Current explorations show landmarks, change and vanish as new ideas and structures take on the next layer of shapes and memories. The process and cycle of change is always dynamic and challenging as depicted in the extreme angles and colour contrasts used in her prints.
Szewska completed her MA in Print at RCA 2023-24 and is now running her own print studio.
