Aga Kubish
£0.00
Aga Kubish is a Polish-born, UK-based printmaker and multidisciplinary artist working across large-scale linocut, photography, and sculptural artist books. Her practice explores the tension between complexity and clarity, drawing on organic systems such as roots, branches, and natural networks as metaphors for perception and human experience.
Originally trained in printmaking, Kubish extends the medium beyond its traditional boundaries, moving from flat image into spatial and tactile forms. Her recent works combine hand printing, photography, and stitching, creating layered structures that unfold in time and space rather than existing as fixed compositions.
Her work has been recognised internationally, including selection for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and awards from the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and Bath Society of Artists. Her prints are held in the RE Diploma Collection.
Alongside her studio practice, Kubish has been invited to speak at symposia and serves as a selector and juror for exhibitions, reflecting her growing role within the contemporary printmaking field.
Currently completing an MA in Printmaking at UWE Bristol, Kubish continues to develop a body of work that moves between image, object, and environment, questioning how we see, experience, and situate ourselves within complex systems.
