Etching And Drypoint On Chine-Colle Gampi Edition of Dimensions (WxH): 43 x 60cm
Anthony TungNing Huang is a Taiwanese-American printmaker whose work explores memory, time, and the quiet relationships between people and the natural world. Through etching, monotype, and delicate Gampi chine-collé, he creates layered images that balance precise observation with the unpredictability of printmaking. Rather than depicting specific places, his works evoke moments of stillness where light, texture, and material become vessels for reflection, inviting viewers to slow down and notice subtle transformations that often go unseen.
Influenced by Daoist philosophy and attentive observation, Huang embraces the printmaking process as a dialogue between intention and chance, allowing each impression to retain traces of time and touch.
Huang holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Tennessee and another MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, He is currently a full-time Printmaking and Drawing faculty member at Dallas College. His work has been exhibited internationally through exhibitions, residencies, and print-focused projects across the United States and Europe.
