LUCE’s work is divers. Over the years she has been exploring. The inner state of mind is the beginning of her creative process, not knowing how it will start nor how it will end. She has a desire for experimenting, using different materials in layers. She prefers adventure to the security of knowing what the end result will be. Therefore her work is very divers. These series of prints are like still journeys, often drawn or painted with acid on a matrix, sometimes with eyes closed.They are landscapes that come from within, brought into the light by a creative gesture. They make real what does not exist, while expressing real states of mind. LUCE graduated from the Saint Lucas Academy of Art in Antwerp, Belgium. She has worked in several prestigious print studios among which the Frans Masereel Centre in Belgium, Atelier La Courière and Atelier 17 in Paris, where she worked with Stanley William Hayter, the founder. She has been selected several times for the Woolwich Art Fair and for the Summer exhibition at the RA. Her work is held in many international public collections including the V & A.
