Drypoint Chine Colle Edition of 2 Dimensions (WxH): 25 x 38cm
I am a Bristol based printmaker exploring the beauty and hidden forms found in decaying plants, primarily in their roots.
My work reaffirms that all living things are connected and is a celebration of nature's raw and delicate splendour.
Beginning life as a detailed pencil study of the chosen form, the drawing is then duplicated, mirrored and arranged to reveal the final composition, forming new recognisable structures, unseen in the original drawing.
By mirroring, I feel that the structure and beauty of the natural form becomes more apparent.
Each plate is then hand-etched, before sending through the press with the addition of Japanese Gampi paper, further enhancing the organic nature of my work.
I choose to only make one or two prints from the finished plate, making the work more unique.
I have exhibited widely since 2020. Highlights include RE Printmakers Small But Mighty exhibition (winning the Outstanding Emerging Printmaker award), Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2025 (Director's Cut), RWA Bristol Paper Works Exhibition 2025, Ironbridge Fine Arts Printmaking Exhibition 2024, Cambridge Contemporary Art Spring Exhibition 2024 and The Discerning Eye Annual Exhibition - Mall Galleries, London 2023 .
