Lisa Ashburner | The Path We Took

£440.00
Original Woodcut Print
Edition of 100
Dimensions (WxH): 51 x 68cm

Lisa is a South East London based artist and printmaker. She studied Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins and spent over 20 years in the fashion industry, first running her own label and later working with a range of brands. In 2024, she turned her attention to fine art and printmaking. Working across intaglio, relief and woodcut techniques, she is drawn to texture, subtle tonal shifts and the expressive quality of mark making. The physical process of carving, etching and inking plays an important role in shaping each image. Using personal photographic references, often inspired by coastal landscapes and natural surroundings, the prints explore atmosphere as much as place. Her Swedish heritage quietly influences the way landscape, light and space are approached. Lisa was recently shortlisted for the Women In Art Fair for ‘The Things We Have Seen’ and was included as a part of the exhibition at the OXO Gallery in London and Art Friend Gallery’s ‘Rejects Summer Exhibition’ at The Bakery on Portobello Road.
