Lilith Nossol | The Moment Just Before the FLINTA Moshpit (2026)

£1,100.00
Experimental Intaglio Print, Oil Paint On Handmade Paper
Edition of 3
Dimensions (WxH): 124 x 130cm

Lilith Nossol investigates how documented motifs become autonomous images through the transformative processes of printmaking. Rather than treating printmaking as a reproductive medium, she understands it as a site of translation, where images are reconstructed rather than reproduced. Working from her own drawings and photographs, she combines relief and intaglio printmaking with digital raster structures to create predominantly monochrome compositions that explore memory, perception and documentation. Her recent intaglio prints focus on moments of instability and transition, from storm fronts and breaking waves to the formation of a mosh pit, capturing states suspended between tension and release. Her large-scale linocuts, carved into reclaimed flooring linoleum, preserve the material's history while reflecting on urban change and abandonment. Hotel Kubrat documents a derelict hotel in a city marked by housing shortages. Nossol is an emerging printmaker specialising in large-scale and non-toxic printmaking. Since 2023, her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the HIFA Museum of Fine Art, Wuhan, Raab Galerie Berlin and the University Art Biennial Mallorca. In 2024, she received a scholarship for a masterclass with Yehudit Sasportas at JDK Berlin. Her work is held in private collections and will join the permanent Airbnb Collection at Tacheles Berlin in 2026.
