Carol Wyss | The Mind has Mountains Xll

£3,900.00
Etching
Edition of 8
Dimensions (WxH): 180 x 136cm

The human skeleton is the basic frame through which Carol examines the relationship of humans to their surroundings. Bones are essential in reconstructing who we are and where we come from. Through processes of dismantling, zooming in and reassembling, she searches for new formations exploring how we understand our physical and temporal human existence; how we relate to our environment and questions our impact on and synergy with the planet we currently inhabit. She uses printmaking, drawing and photography to create the components for her art installations. Carol Wyss grew up in Liechtenstein and now lives in London. Since graduating in 1998 with an MFA from the Slade University College London, she has won several prizes including the John Ruskin Prize and the City & Guilds Print Prize. A member of the London Group, Carol exhibits regularly internationally and important private and public collections have acquired her work.
