Faith Chevannes is an award-winning Cornish printmaker whose work captures fleeting moments and precious glimpses of our fragile natural world. Specialising in drypoint intaglio, Faith draws directly onto plates to produce prints characterised by their signature velvety burr lines. Deeply rooted in wildlife conservation, Faith's latest work celebrates everyday UK birds, inviting viewers to appreciate the remarkable, precious creatures we so often overlook before they are lost. This project spans both familiar domestic fowl and the wild birds that grace our skies, including endangered species currently on the UK Red List. By highlighting that all avian life holds innate value, she translates tactile feathers into striking visual stories, beautifully capturing the distinct personality, unique texturing, and unmistakable attitude of each individual bird. Based in Launceston, North Cornwall, Faith studied at Falmouth School of Art and De Montfort University. Faith's work has gained significant national recognition, featuring in the Royal Academy (RA) Summer Exhibition (2019, 2022, 2023, 2025, 2026), The Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, and the Royal West Academy (RWA). Her accolades include prizes from Baxters Gallery, 'Best in Show' at Bovey Craft Festival, Ironbridge Fine Arts, and Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Week.
