Kuniko Kamioka is a Japanese-born printmaker and multidisciplinary artist based in London. She studied fine art at Nippon University, Tokyo, and continued her education at Camden Art Centre and Saint Martins School of Art. After a period away from artistic practice, she returned to the arts through photography, studying at London Metropolitan University and the London College of Communication.
Her printmaking combines photography, painting, and sculptural elements to explore fundamental questions about humanity in contemporary society.
Kamioka currently develops her practice mostly at Working Men’s College and various studios in London.
Her work was shortlisted for the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair 2025, and her print The Tent Life, inspired by a refugee camp near Hastings, received the Lowes Dickinson Prize. In 2026, her work was selected for exhibition at the Chelsea Art Society Annual Exhibition.
