Lucia Blagden is a UK-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and three-dimensional forms. She graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2014 with a degree in Fine Art, specialising in drawing and painting. Her work explores the shifting boundaries between inner and outer worlds, examining themes of memory, perception, place, and spatial experience. Working primarily with printmaking and drawing techniques, she creates atmospheric surfaces through processes of layering, erosion, and transformation, revealing the fluid and often uncertain nature of experience. Recent projects include Personal Histories, which explores memory as a layered and transformative construct; Dreamscapes, examining imagined spaces and the dream-like qualities of recollection; Earthbound, reflecting on the fragile yet enduring relationship between people and place through landscapes shaped by time and change; and An Endless Journey, a meditation on meaning, memory, and impermanence, where blurred forms suggest the fleeting and elusive nature of truth and remembrance. Light remains a central thread throughout her practice, serving as both subject and metaphor, inviting contemplation of what lies beyond the immediate and visible.
