I am a visual artist/researcher interested in the passage of time, processes and materiality. My practice is focused on the narratives that move me and a desire to understand the world I inhabit. I have been involved in a range of interdisciplinary research projects, in conversation with art therapists, other artists, astronomers, geneticists and social scientists. I am co/lead on several artist projects - 'ArtMovesFife' and 'Creativity and Curiosity'. I work with a diversity of materials and processes from my studio in rural Fife. I am a professional member of Visual Arts Scotland and the Scottish Society of Artists.
I consider myself fortunate to live in a landscape that gives me wonder. It reminds me of the preciousness of our planet, provoking thoughts on our moral obligations to each other and the natural world.Looking and noticing engages me in processes of mapping understanding of myself and outside forces through place and across time, my working processes speak to me of the individual, of the fragility of occurences and the adjustments that can be made in understandings
