Stefano Minutella (b. 1994, Italy) is an Italian printmaker and PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo. Raised in the Madonie Mountains, Sicily, his artistic research investigates the relationship between landscape, memory and material through contemporary printmaking.
After completing his studies in Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo, he attended advanced intaglio courses at Fondazione Il Bisonte in Florence and later returned as Artist in Residence in 2025. In 2023 he collaborated with the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica in Rome on the conservation and restoration of historical copper printing plates. Since 2022 he has been a member of the Associazione Nazionale Incisori Contemporanei.
His practice combines photography, etching, aquatint and experimental transfer processes, using the printed matrix as both image and physical object. Through field research in the Sicilian mountains, he explores traces of human presence embedded in the landscape, creating works that reflect on memory, abandonment and the transformation of rural environments.
His work has been exhibited in national and international exhibitions and continues to evolve through technical experimentation and interdisciplinary research.
