Greg Stevens is an artist working with painting and printmaking. Currently living and working in London, he graduated from the Royal Drawing School in 2022 and Kingston School of Art 2019. His works contain a kinetic sense of forms in movement, pulsating within an unstable choreography reminiscent of a nature in flux. The subject is drawn from a merging of observed imagery, extracted from drawings made plein air, and a more imagined inner psychological landscape. Printmaking provides a way to develop surface marks and create some element of chance while the fluidity of monotype helps to pursue an instinctive mark making for the pictures he creates. These works are often meticulously hand printed in his studio. Greg has recently returned from an artist residency in India. In 2023 he had his first London solo show and has exhibited work in group shows at Christie’s and Buckingham Palace as well as previously at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.
