Sarah Vines is an emerging Artist primarily working in the medium of screenprint. She lives in Manchester, United Kingdom. She studied her Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at Oxford Brookes University, before going on to study a BA in Illustration and Animation at Kingston University. She then completed her MA in Print at the Royal College of Art in 2023. Her work has been exhibited in the UK and Internationally and has been featured in several publications.
Sarah is an Associate Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts and Honorary Member of People of Print.
Sarah's work combines drawing, traditional techniques and screen print to examine the relationship people have with their spaces and their chosen objects. She sees the home as a site of performance, and seeks to question and capture the intricacies of domestic life, the rituals of home, and the balance between control and comfort often present in these spaces. She uses these inspirations to create portraits and still life scenes. Her work is bright and celebratory, with a focus on colour and composition.
