Monoprint: Relief With Chine Colle
Edition of
Dimensions (WxH): 45 x 40cm

Antoinette Momtahan is an artist living and working in London. She has exhibited widely both in London and the UK. Her work can be found in collections in the Victoria and Albert Museum and Scarborough Museum. Antoinette has started a new body of work using the monoprint as her medium. This marks a significant shift in the ideas guiding her work as colour has become her primary investigation. Her new pieces of work Imagined Landscape 1 and 2 explore an imagined landscape with no specific location. They are intended to suggest a sense of place through colour and form using relief print and chine colle. The placement of the chine-collé elements were intuitive rather than planned. She is interested in how colour, shape and space can create new relationships as the work evolves.
