Milenko Stevanovic | Heat

£850.00
Stone Lithography On Cotton Paper
Edition of 18
Dimensions (WxH): 66 x 55cm

Milenko Stevanovic explores themes of the human figure and the environment it inhabits. His practice is rooted in drawing from life, making a series of observations over time. When revisiting the subject in a printmaking medium, he departs from Nature both in shape and colour, modifying his references in order to create a specific visual effect. In his most recent series of printmaking works, Milenko focuses on a heatwave experience in the city of Athens. Through the use of sharp contrasts and saturated colour, he suggests rising temperatures and considers our collective impact on the environment. Milenko graduated with an MA in Oil Painting from the Tokyo University of the Arts, as well as an MA from the Graphics Department of the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. Most recently, he has shown work at the Derwent Art Prize 2026, the Highpoint Center for Printmaking, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Society of Painters in Water Colours.
