I am a painter and printmaker whose work explores sisterhood, care, resilience and quiet resistance. Through the female figure, I investigate themes of collective strength, psychological shelter and human connection, creating paintings that occupy the space between visibility and concealment.
My practice is built through layers of transparency, veils of colour and shifting atmospheres. Figures emerge and dissolve within luminous, often ambiguous spaces, reflecting my interest in painting as a place of holding rather than resolution.
I use an economy of line, the figure being a vehicle through which to explore how we care for one another, navigate vulnerability and find strength in connection.
At the heart of my work is a belief that tenderness, beauty and emotional depth can themselves be acts of resistance. The women who inhabit my paintings are neither passive nor heroic; instead, they embody a quieter form of power rooted in presence, solidarity and mutual support. Colour, gesture and atmosphere encourages reflection and invites viewers to engage with themes of belonging, resilience and human connection.
I recently completed an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art I continue to explore the transformative potential of quiet resistance, through print and paint.
