Karl-Peter Penke | DCCXXXXIX (749) - Wandering in a Desert

£130.00
Hard-Ground Etching With Aquatint
Edition of 40
Dimensions (WxH): 21 x 19cm

Karl-Peter Penke is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary artist with a drawing background and a soft spot for etching. Born in Germany, he studied at Chelsea College of Art & Design, Camberwell College of Arts, the Royal Drawing School and the Royal College of Art. Karl-Peter has a studio in London and teaches printmaking (UCA and RCA). He exhibits regularly, and his work – an observation of human foibles and failure – can be found in private and public collections throughout Europe. On his etching plates, he likes to draw the uninhibited things that he would have liked to have drawn more of as a confused child, with the same absorption and attention to detail, but pertinent to his experience as a confused grown-up.
