Estifanos Solomon, and I am a visual artist based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. My work explores themes of passion, conflict, memory, and personal narrative through painting and printmaking. Drawing from my own lived experiences, I create artworks that encourage reflection on emotional, cultural, and social realities while inviting viewers into meaningful conversations. My artistic journey began at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, where I developed my foundation in visual arts. I later earned a Diploma in Painting from Entoto Polytechnic College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Addis Ababa University Alle School of Fine Arts and Design. Since then, I have exhibited my work in Ethiopia and internationally, including South Korea and Italy, and held my first solo exhibition, Oppressed Passions, at Artawi Gallery in 2024. Alongside my studio practice, I am passionate about art education. I have taught at an art academy and led workshops in my own studio, encouraging beginners to experiment and build confidence in their creative expression. Receiving the ART2 Foundation Grant in 2025 and being featured in international art publications have further strengthened my commitment to my practice.
