Sarah Crossfield is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, sculpture, printmaking, film, photography and installation. Originally from Yorkshire, she now lives and works in South East London. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University, and exhibits regularly across London and the South East. Recent exhibitions include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026, Materiality 2, The Irving Open 2026, ING Discerning Eye 2025, Linden Hall Winter Group Show 2025/26 and Falling/Fallen with Caroline Burgess at FABRIQ Gallery 2025, London.
Crossfield’s practice explores texture, structure, fragility and the sublime, often moving between abstraction and visual references to landscape, sky, interior space, time and place. Working with printmaking, painting on wood and metal, timelapse, photography and sculptural approaches, she investigates relationship between material, surface and visual concept. Various techniques are used to convey light and atmosphere, from photography to economical and bold brushwork in her prints and paintings.
