Aoife Mary Hogan (b. 2003) is a multidisciplinary artist working between Glasgow and her home on the Clyde coast. Hogan’s practice is vividly shaped by an enduring relationship to the sea, sky and rural scenery of her home. Her work considers the shifting colours and qualities of landscape, fragile states of environmental change and ecological grief. 'Wave Patterns' is a work which emerges from long hours spent watching and drawing the surface of the sea which borders her home. By deliberate misalignment of the etching plates, the print maintains a lively, unstable quality; echoing the shifting patterns of the surf and tides. Aoife Mary Hogan graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 2025. Her work has been exhibited widely across the UK, including at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Mall Galleries and the Affordable Art Fair New Graduates Exhibition, London. She was awarded a Royal Drawing School Residency at Dumfries House in 2026. Her work is held in several private collections, and her print series ‘Wave Patterns’ is on permanent display at Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire.
