Tanya Harris creates intimate portraits of personal immersive experience, the joy of being in a liminal state. Focusing on mindful moments when we connect with our subconscious, slowing down time. Her artistic process is drawn from emotional sensibility, recording human fragility, sharing empathy and capturing beauty. Tanya creates etchings through painting varnish onto copper plates, layering ten tones through mindful time to create hand made prints. The artist creates diptychs connecting gestural movement in time. A commissioned artist and filmmaker for the NHS and UCL East, Tanya Harris's artworks have been exhibited in Galleries and Museums, and are in Hackney Museum Collection. Trained in Fine Art at Camberwell, Leeds, Madrid and Nottingham. Tanya is an Artist Educator and leads Portrait Workshops at The Courtauld Gallery, Drawing, Painting and Printmaking Workshops and Masterclasses at the National Portrait Gallery.
