Amelia Akiko Frank is an artist based in London and New York. Rooted in the language of drawing—including sculpture, spatial intervention, and dissected language as forms of expanded mark-making—her practice unpacks how history, power, and national mythologies are symbolically constructed and aesthetically maintained. Amelia holds an MFA from Goldsmiths, where she was awarded the yearlong Almacantar Studio Award, and BAs in Visual Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Chicago, where she was awarded the Louis Sudler Prize. She has exhibited in London, New York, Chicago, and Bangkok; been in residence at Ragdale (IL), La Wayaka Current (Chile), and New York Academy (NY); and most recently was Junior Fellow at Goldsmiths (London) and Keyholder Resident at the Lower East Side Printshop (NY).
