Nebbia’s practice includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and photography. Her work evolves through process and explores relationships and how we occupy space,. It considers differing perspectives, cultures and histories, with references to landscape, the city, architecture and geography on macro and micro levels. Light plays an important part in providing apertures of spaces; both individual and collective. The work on display was started first by making multiple ceramic pieces in the studio with porcelain and vulcan clay. From these pieces, further drawings and paintings were created with photography to create compositions which investigated the simple formal relationships between the ceramic works, from which developed these etchings. Through the process of making and the use of materials, something occurs that distils the initial starting point and creates the dialogue.
