Katya Timoshenko is a printmaker whose work explores memory, identity and a sense of belonging. Her work is influenced by her Eastern European background, personal experiences and Slavic folklore, often bringing together figures, animals and symbolic imagery. She works mainly with multi-plate colour etching and enjoys the unpredictable nature of the process, where colour, texture and the qualities of the medium become part of how the image develops.
