Vital Arts is a leading Creative Health organisation within Barts Health NHS Trust. Charitably-funded, Vital Arts works in partnership with medical staff, patients, artists and other cultural organisations to deliver a dynamic programme that includes site-specific commissioned artworks, as well as music, dance, literature, creative workshops. Established in 1996, Vital Arts is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Limited editions are produced with artists who created new, site-specific commissions at Barts Health NHS Trust. Purchase of these works helps fund the Vital Arts programme, with a percentage going to health related charities selected by the each artist.
